The Academic Council, a collegiate consultative, academic and participatory body in the educational aspects of the University Center, held, yesterday, its first regular meeting of the year 2023, after it was agreed in its constitutive session that they would take place in the months of February, June and October.

On this occasion, and after the completion of the first semester of the Degree in Police Studies, among other issues, the development of the five subjects studied so far have been discussed: Law in the field of ICTs, Fundamental Rights and Public Security Policies, The European Dimension of Police Activity, Psychology Applied to the Police and Police Sphere, Diversity and Social Inclusion.

With highly satisfactory results that reflect the effort made by its students, the corresponding quantitative and qualitative analyses of the activities developed have been carried out, which allows to strengthen coordination and advance in the procedures that allow the continuous improvement of this official university degree taught by the University of Salamanca (USAL).

The Academic Committee, chaired in this first year by the Vice President of Quality and Degree Teaching of USAL, Dña. Mª José Rodríguez Conde, accompanied by the Vice-Rector of Postgraduate and Own Teachings, D. Nicolás Rodríguez García, together with the Director of CUFPN, D. José García Molina, and the Directors of the different Training Centers of the Training and Improvement Division, as well as the respective Heads of Degree and Master and Doctorate Areas of the University Center itself, have held this meeting also with a view to the future, making the necessary predictions so that the remaining teaching calendar of the first course is deployed without incident, and already preparing what will be not only the second course, but also the beginning of the second promotion of the degree.

Finally, to highlight different agreements that will be submitted to the Governing Council regarding different lines of investigation of interest to the National Police, as well as upcoming seminars and summer courses.
