Much more than a logo

E l logo of the Centro Universitario de formation of the national police is the result of an in-depth analysis of the most important symbols in the field of education and knowledge, throughout history, as well as the value of the responsibility of the national police to stimulate learning and critical thinking of its members.

The element on which revolves the central design is the temple that symbolizes the academy of plato, considered the first university of the world and that alludes to the creation of this first University center. The temple was based on a book that represents the learning and cultural organization, elements which may be regarded as the foundations of any institution. An idea that is reinforced by the latin phrase shows: « Dediscit Animus Quod Serum Didicit » (Hardly forget what we have carefully learned).

One detail which perhaps goes unnoticed is the way in 'S' of the two clusters of laurel who come to delineate the 'that' wisdom, which is attached to possess the necessary knowledge to act with prudence and wisdom, all virtues necessary to belong to our institution.

The star of the national police school in the top of the logo, serving light guide and to all pupils in the way of learning. The wings and the sword represent the angel Custodian who protects every day to all national police forces. The sword, recalls in its design to the plate rafagado emblem, is intended to represent, together with the wings and the North Star, golden color, brightness and providing the necessary force to highlight on the rest these being of our institution.

This logo is not only the image that represents the Centro Universitario de formation of the national police, but that, through its very significant, stands as the real driving force of the input of the brand identity needed to the new autonomous body.
