BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN POLICE STUDIES
In the academic year 2022-23 at the University Training Center of the National Police, attached to USAL, once the verification process has been passed by ACSUCYL and the Council of Universities, it teaches this Degree in order to meet the professional training requirements of the police organization and the security demands of citizens. Therefore, they must have the necessary competences that enable them to provide efficient responses to real problems that arise in their daily obligations, among which are the investigation and prosecution of crimes, assistance, humanitarian services and the maintenance of public order and citizen security.
The studies that mainly cover subjects in the branch of social and legal sciences , as well as in the branch of Engineering and Architecture , structured for 4 years (240 ECTS):

Profile of entry:
The entry profile is delimited by the current statutory regulations of the National Police and university education, restricted to police professionals with the category of “Police Officer”.
Requirements that the applicant will have to meet, before the end of the term to make the registration:
- Hold the rank of Police Officer.
- Be in possession of the certification of the equivalence of his appointment as Police Officer to that of Superior Technician regulated in Order EFP/805/2023 , of July 17, which establishes the equivalence of the category of Police Officer of the basic scale of the National Police Force to the title of Superior Technician corresponding to the professional training.
- Be in one of the following administrative situations: active service, special services, family care leave, voluntary leave by family group, leave due to gender violence or leave due to terrorist violence.
- Not having completed official university studies of degree, degree, engineering, architecture or equivalent
- Missing five years or more to reach the retirement age, counted from the date of presentation of instances for the corresponding call for the first Degree course.
Once the fulfilment of the requirements in each of the applications has been verified, the selection will be carried out following the order of annual staging published through the corresponding ministerial order approving the staging relationship of the National Police, with regard to the category of Police Officer, until the total number of places convened is reached.
The people admitted to the first course will remain selected for enrollment in subsequent academic courses, according to the standards of evaluation and permanence of the University of Salamanca.
