DEGREE IN POLICE STUDIES

In the academic year 2022-23 university centre of the national police, attached to the USAL, once the process of verification by the ACSUCYL and the council of universities, provided this level in order to meet the demands of professional training of police organization and the demands of citizens' security. They should take the necessary skills that enable them to provide efficient responses to real problems they face in their daily obligations, including the investigation and prosecution of offences, assistance, humanitarian services and maintenance of public order and safety.

The studies that embody primarily in the branch of the social and legal sciences, as well as the engineering and architecture, structured during 4 years (240 ECTS):

The profile of revenue is delimited by the statutory regulations in force of the national police and the university courses, ascribed to the police professional category of “ police officer ”.

Requirements that the applicant shall, before the deadline for registration:

  • Hold the category of police officer.
  • To be in possession of the certification of equivalence of his appointment of police officer to the higher technical regulated Order VET/805/2023 of 17 july, which establishes the equivalence of the category of the police officer of the scale of the body of the national police to the title of Superior Technician for vocational training.
  • Stay in one of the following situations: active service, special services, leave of absence to care for families, voluntary redundancy by family grouping, leave on grounds of gender violence or unpaid leave on grounds of terrorist violence.
  • No official university-educated, bachelor degree, engineering, architecture or equivalent
  • Lack of five years or more for reaching the age of retirement, starting from the date of submission of institutions to the call for the first course.

Once the implementation of the requirements in each of the requests, the selection will be in accordance with the order of annual ranking published by ministerial order by the approval of the relationship escalafonal of the national police, with respect to the category of police officer, reaching total places convened.

Persons admitted to the realization of the first course will be earmarked for enrolment in subsequent academic years, in accordance with the standards of evaluation and permanence of the university of Salamanca.
